Chin Augmentation

Have a receding chin? Longing for that perfect silhouette?

Some of us don’t have perfect chins. They can be “weak” and blend right into the neck. If that’s the case, consider Chin Augmentation. The result from Chin Augmentation is a longer, more natural looking face line, and often a longer looking neck.

Chin Augmentation is a procedure designed to extend and round the chin. It is frequently done using an implant. The incision is made either inside the mouth or under the chin. Then an area is prepared in front of the chin bone where the implant will be inserted. The implants used for these are made from a firm silicone which, once inserted, may be attached to the chin.

This procedure can be done in combination with other procedures where appropriate. In addition, bite problems can be corrected during this procedure, if performed with bone advancement, which is an alternate approach.

To find out if Chin Augmentation is right for you, you should start with a consultation with our practice. That’s the best way to get all your questions answered and for us to get a clear understanding of your goals. Then we’ll educate you about your available options, likely outcomes, risks, and recovery. Contact us at 727.547.9244 to schedule your appointment.
